In a world increasingly enthralled with high speed technology and quantity over quality production goals, I find artistic inspiration in using time honored traditions; traditions that allow me to experiment and compose new, fresh objects from what might be considered old. I employ techniques that allow me to savor the process of creating, from the exhilaration of selecting colors and textures to the rhythmic lullaby of stitching by hand. I create not to clothe bodies or cover beds, but to engage viewers in an interaction with a visual art form that can, indeed, communicate emotion, meaning and a lasting message. 


City of Dreams Series: Just as a city is a synthesis of disparate parts, these tactile works are lively mosaics - abstracted metropolitan views of changing cities. They are a colorist's reflective interpretation of urban transitions that build, layer upon layer, over time or with brevity throughout the course of a single day. 


Urban Duet Series: Inspired by lights at night, projected and fragmented on a variety of mirror-like surfaces, Urban Duet addresses those quiescent moments at the end of the day when hectic urban life slows and placidly combines with nature, allowing us to reflect on the day's events and the environment that surrounds us.
