Chandler Kissell's work is representational, though not realistic, and includes portraits, traditional landscapes, somewhat-abstract landscapes, birds of prey, sporting scenes and flowers.

She is an elected member of the Salmagundi Club, New York, The Charleston Artists Guild, South Carolina, the Connecticut Watercolor  Society, The Chaffee Center for the Visual Arts, Vermont, the Marblehead Arts Association, Massachusetts, and an active member of many other professional associations.

Kissell's work has been exhibited in more than 71 national and regional shows since 2001 when she left the advertising and publishing industries after working in New York City at J. Walter Thompson, in Boston at Hill, Holliday, and in Connecticut in publishing. She studied at Syracuse University’s Newhouse School of Art & Journalism, receiving a Bachelor of Fine Arts, Magna cum Laude, and with Benton Spruance in Philadelphia, PA.  Her pieces now hang in many private and corporate collections.
