Originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Kim lived in Maryland for 25 years before moving to Vermont in 2007. With a BFA in theatre, Kim has hands-on experience in all design disciplines, including scene, lighting, costume and makeup. Graduate studies in Art Direction at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco provided additional experience in graphic design. Kim also worked briefly with a master goldsmith in Frederick, Maryland gaining a deeper understanding of designing with gemstones, diamonds and precious metals.


Kim’s work is influenced by ancient art, decorating and period fashion. Her work reflects her interest in combining incongruous materials into unique, art-inspired fashion jewelry.
